How useful is deferred compensation?

My accountant does not like the deferred compensation because it says that income taxes tend to rise, so if I have around $ 50k is not necessary, it is best to take the money now, pay taxes and invest it. Otherwise, I would like to invest and take first place in 15 years and pay higher taxes on the whole affair. Has anyone done calculations to see what the breakeven point is? I mean, in terms of number of years that would get ahead by delaying? If I take and pay income taxes now, would still have to pay taxes capital gains and dividends future (I plan to invest in mutual funds). If deferring income and paid 15 years from now, I have to pay taxes from now 15 years in what could be double the amount, but only once. One last point. Does the AMT factor in this? If I have additional income now, could potentially take away from the AMT rules so that I could use more deductions (such as my property taxes) at some point?

Rules are basic to defer income and accelerate deductions. I would not use an accountant who does not believe in the basic standard. Think about the compounds revenue. Does your accountant I think now pay taxes and invest the results in a better return in general, to invest now and pay taxes later when more money will make more money? Oh yes, because you are deferring the income you can time when you make the tax base. Maybe in a year with no other earned income so you can fall into the fact a level of taxation or two years! Also, if you already retired and need income to see if by chance deferred tax remains after death. Maybe someone could benefit in it.
