What is the TRUE amount that the federal estate and gift tax exemption is supposed to be in 2011?

The annual Gift Tax exclusion amount for 2011 won't be set until late in 2010 sometime.

Under current law, the Federal Estate Tax exclusion and the lifetime Gift Tax exclusion for 2011 will both be $1,000,000. (For 2010 the Estate Tax exclusion will be unlimited (i.e. no Estate Tax) but the Gift Tax lifetime exclusion will still be $1,000,000.)
