Check Exemption from payment / subsidy? Federal: 0, Tax Blocked?
I have a question, in my part-time job that I have noticed that there is no large amount of taxes taken out. I work on average. 15 hours every two weeks. Example: my income YTD is $ 2,600 and I only paid $ 7.36 in taxes federal. Does the low level of deductions for low-or odd? The sums up my paycheck federal exemptions are still 0 - Tax locked. State $ YTD deductions 130, $ 40 for Medicare, and the SS. $ 162. I'm not really concerned with other deductions, however, federal tax deductions in relation to the percentage retained, the kind of scares me. Any advice? I think the company is trying to limit their liability in the payment of taxes your employer pays you .. help! I now wants to be out - because my money to Uncle Sam that you dislike, plus interest!
Their income is so low that no income tax liability if your federal income remains constant for the remainder of the year. Your withholding is correct for your income.
